2010

• March 1, 2010 - Dr. Petrucci, Dr. Palmer, Dr. Paul, and Dr. Garrett were recognized in the 2010 Washingtonian Magazine Top Doctors issue. The magazine selects physicians based on peer feedback. This year, Foxhall Surgical was represented in Breast Cancer Surgery, Colon & Rectal Surgery, and General Surgery categories.

2009

• September 10, 2009 - Dr. Thomas Sanzaro, a longtime friend and colleague of Foxhall Surgical Associates, passed away suddenly. Please visit our memorial page for more information.

• March 21, 2009 - Dr. Meredith Garrett was presented with The John Carroll Society 2009 Pro Bono Health Care Awards. This award recognizes dedicated volunteers who provide services within the Archdiocese of Washington network. For the past 20 years, our practice has provided free and reduced-cost services to patients of financial need through the Catholic Charities Network.

• March 5, 2009 - The Washington Times ran an article about the first Bariatric patient who was treated at the Sibley Center For Weight Loss Surgery. The procedure was performed by Dr. Brian Long, the Director of the program.

• February 16, 2009 - Dr. Peter Petrucci has accepted a position at Sibley Memorial Hospital as Vice President of Patient Safety, Quality, and Medical Affairs. He will still maintain office hours at Foxhall Surgical and has no plans to retire from private practice! You can read the letter Dr. Petrucci drafted to his colleagues here.

 

2008 Highlights

• December 3, 2008 - Dr. Peter Petrucci testified on behalf of our Federal Standard BlueCross BlueShield patients at a Subcommittee meeting held to dispute proposed changes to the Federal BCBS Standard Insurance plan for 2009. Visit our special Federal BCBS page for more detailed information.

• January 1, 2008- Dr. Martin Paul became Chief of Surgery at Sibley Memorial Hospital. He will maintain his regular office hours at Foxhall Surgical in addition to his new duties.

• Dr. Petrucci, Dr. Palmer, and Dr. Paul were recognized in The Washingtonian Magazine Top Doctors issue for 2008. For over 10 years, Foxhall Surgical Associates, P.C. physicians have been a strong presence in this publication which selects doctors based on peer feedback.

• The most recent edition of the Washington DC Consumers Checkbook recognized Dr. Peter Petrucci, Dr. Michael Palmer, and Dr. Martin Paul. Foxhall Surgical Associates, P.C. physicians have consistently been featured in this prestigious publication.

• Our website, www.foxhall.com gets a makeover; complete with new, updated information about the practice, physicians, and useful resources for our patients!

2007 Highlights

• Both Dr. Paul and Dr. Long were featured on the cover of the Sibley Memorial Hospital On Health Publication during 2007.
