Theresa Koester is a 2006 graduate of a Masters of Science, Physician Assistant program at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Piscataway, NJ. Ms. Koester received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Marymount University in Arlington, VA in May 1999. Prior to starting the Physician Assistant program, she had several years of health care experience as a medical assistant here at Foxhall Surgical Associates, P.C.
Ms. Koester re-joined the practice in June 2006 as a board certified Physician Assistant with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. In addition, she is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Surgical Physician Assistants.
Ms. Koester’s primary role is to act as a first assistant with the surgeons in the operating room, to manage the patients while in the hospital, and to help with the patient’s postoperative care and discharge planning. She is also available for any questions and concerns of all Foxhall Surgical Associates, P.C. patients.
